The Original Cord Lock Story
We bought Oregon Cord Lock because we liked the honest simplicity of the cord lock and the fact that it is manufactured and sold
in the U.S.A. at a competitive price. The design has been improved and many colors have been added to our inventory
but the cord locks and their components are still completely made in the U.S.A.
This is the original Cord Lock that was designed in 1969 by Jake Egger, Oregon climber and outdoors man.
They are manufactured at the gateway to the beautiful Columbia River Gorge and in the shadow of majestic Mount Hood.
Oregon Cord Lock was purchased from Jake in 1984 by the interim owners.
In 1994 they moved the business from Oregon to the Washington Coast.
Now purchased again in 2006, by Bobbie and Charlie, we are back in Oregon
Along the way Oregon Cord Lock picked up the sewing bobbin holder known as Handi-Bob and
we are pleased to add them to our offerings for our customers.
Cord Locks and Handi-Bobs are made and sold
in the U.S.A and are for sale from us!
